It really depends on which side, for who they feed on yes, but for them, it's survival. I say they are both, it really depends on which view point you look through.

I think they can be nice as long as they don't follow a corrupt leader.
Kinda like how a parent raises their young (In aspect what QC is doing..). Young follow parents, parents set example, young follow example.

Therefor, kidnap the changelings and raise them to be good lol.
